This reality was experienced firsthand by our Founder and Marketing Director, whose journey into ICT involved long travel, financial sacrifice, and limited access to modern learning tools. That journey revealed a wider truth—many young people shared the same ambition, yet lacked a clear pathway.
In response to the growing demand for digital literacy and employable ICT skills among Gambian youths, Bangs Institute of Technology began operations in 2024 and was officially incorporated on 26th August 2025, strengthening its governance and long-term vision. That is why BIT was created—to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity.
